Adding a puzzle just got faster

In the first days after launch, we noticed something odd: Puzzlovers who simply wanted to save a puzzle to their collection ran into an extra step, the Marketplace one. That step is useful for selling or swapping, but not for everyone.

Adding a puzzle is now lighter by default.

What changes

• The "Marketplace" step becomes optional. By default, you add your puzzle in 2 steps instead of 3.
• A new "Add to my collection" button appears as the main action, clearer than before.
• If you'd also like to offer your puzzle for sale or swap, a second "Sell or swap" button stays within easy reach.
• Once your puzzle is added, the celebration page also offers "List on the Marketplace", so you can come back to it later rather than in the middle of adding.

Why we made this choice

Most puzzles added never go through the Marketplace: they simply join your collection, your wishlist or your builds. Forcing everyone through a "Marketplace" screen was needless friction.

By making that step optional, we respect the most common path without preventing those who want to from selling or swapping.

Under the hood

• The step indicator at the top now shows 2 steps by default, 3 if you choose to sell or swap.
• The form now resets completely between each add (a small bug in how the acquisition method was captured was fixed along the way).
• A few visual touches: button animations, hover effects on labels, smoother transitions between each step.

Nothing spectacular. Just fewer clicks, so that adding a puzzle feels more like it should: fast.

We're already working on a set of improvements for those who want to list a puzzle for sale or swap more easily: a dedicated flow, less friction, shortcuts from the puzzle page and the Marketplace. More on that here very soon.
