The Puzzlovers gets a fresh new look

This is the biggest update since The Puzzlovers launched. Not a small touch-up: a complete overhaul of the design, the navigation and the details that make a site feel good to use. We wanted The Puzzlovers to look as warm as its community, and as satisfying as the moment the final piece clicks into place.

Here's everything that changes.

A "warm gallery" feel

The most visible change is the atmosphere. We've swapped the cold white for a warm paper background, a typeface with character for the headings, and a signature orange reserved for action buttons. The idea: for every page to feel less like a spreadsheet and more like a gallery that showcases your builds.

Everything was rethought piece by piece, with particular care for contrast, spacing and transitions. The result is easier on the eyes, more readable, and a great deal more pleasant day to day.

A completely rewritten home page

The home page (the one visitors see before signing up) has been rebuilt from the ground up to tell the story of what The Puzzlovers is, in seven coherent beats.

• A hero banner with a full-page scene of friends puzzling together, a clear promise ("Your puzzles, where they belong. Share. Swap.") and three telling numbers: 29,000+ puzzles, 400+ Puzzlovers, 2,200+ builds.
• A gallery section that shows, for real, what a Puzzlover's collection looks like (with a desktop and mobile preview side by side, browser and all).
• A unified catalog section that tells, as one narrative, the story of the 29,000+ puzzles available, the orbiting thumbnails and the puzzles trending this week. Explore it in the catalog.
• A Marketplace section rethought as a real conversation between Puzzlovers: a pinned listing, messages exchanged, online status. It's exactly what happens on the Marketplace.
• Better-paced journey, builds, FAQ and join us sections, in an order that follows a visitor's natural curiosity.

All of it on a unified width and two background colors that answer each other, with no jarring breaks.

Simpler navigation

The navigation bar has been rethought, on desktop and on mobile alike. On the phone, a bottom bar gives you one-tap access to the essentials: Home, Discover, Marketplace and your Profile.

The Discover page becomes a true starting point: the catalog, the community, the Journal, contests and everything else, clearly grouped in one place. The search bar at the top of the page also surfaces the Journal among its shortcuts.

Your puzzles, showcased

Puzzle and build cards have been redrawn to breathe and make you want to click. A build's page now tells a real story: the author, the photo in large format, the review, the puzzle details, then the community around it.

And when a puzzle has been assembled several times, its detail panel now shows every build with its rating, difficulty and time, in a clear layout consistent with the rest of the site.

The community in the spotlight

The Community page has been completely overhauled. You'll find all the Puzzlovers there, their collections, and above all those who puzzle near you, with an interactive map and rethought filters (country, region, city, and a clear sort order).

Member cards are crisper and more consistent: a single glance is enough to spot an active enthusiast or a seller on the Marketplace.

Your space, more readable

Your dashboard, "My space", has been lightened: your builds, your listings and your stats appear in a more spacious layout, without needless frames, with charts in the new warm style.

Share previews worthy of the site

When you share a The Puzzlovers link on Facebook, WhatsApp or elsewhere, the preview that shows up is now part of the new design: warm paper background, handsome type, a visible brand and even a mosaic of real builds on the home page. The contest, marketplace, journal, puzzle and build pages all have their previews reworked.

And a host of details

An overhaul is also a thousand little things you notice without always being able to name them:

• a discreet loading bar at the top of the page on every navigation,
• smoother transitions and animations that respect your motion preferences,
• confirmation dialogs (delete, list for sale, report) all harmonized,
• particular care on mobile, where the vast majority of you join us,
• visit statistics that are now more reliable on our side, to better understand what's useful to you and what we should improve.

And between us, all this careful work on mobile is paving the way for a big next step: apps on the stores. 🤫
