New members? We'll help you get started
Right after signing up, a short guided tour to personalize your experience and check off the puzzles you've already finished. Because an empty profile is a sad one.

Founder of The Puzzlovers
During the site's first few weeks, we noticed that many new members didn't come back. One of the reasons: landing on an empty profile, with nothing to explore or show off. Not a great first experience.
Since this week, every new Puzzlover goes through a short guided welcome.
How it works
Everything flows naturally right from sign-up:
- Your email, verified in one click.
- Your collection: how you keep track of your puzzles day to day, so we can tailor the experience to how you use the site.
- Your favorite brands (optional), so the welcome makes better suggestions.
- Puzzles you've already finished, checked off in one click from a visual grid of popular puzzles. They join your collection as completed builds, with an approximate date.
At the end: confetti, a welcome message, and a collection that's already filled out.
For those already signed up
We haven't forgotten you. If you registered before this week, we assumed your welcome was already done: nothing to redo. You can of course use the classic add flow at any time to grow your collection.
Why it matters
A Puzzlover who lands on an empty profile doesn't know what to do. A Puzzlover who lands on a profile already filled with 12 builds instantly understands what the site is and wants to add more.
It's a very common practice on community sites (Pinterest, Letterboxd and Goodreads all do it) that we'd overlooked at launch. Now it's fixed.
Coming very soon
We're preparing a series of new features to build on this good start: a profile completeness meter to guide you toward the actions that enrich your experience, such as adding a profile photo, liking the builds that inspire you, following other Puzzlovers. The idea: turning the profile into a little adventure rather than a form to fill in.
We'll also add automatic suggestions of puzzles to add to your wishlist, based on the brands you love, and an "invite a fellow Puzzlover" step. Stay tuned.
